Europe Triathlon Junior Cup Caorle and Venice Caorle Tri: passion for triathlon conquers Porto Santa Margherita

May 8, 2025

Porto Santa Margherita, Caorle (Venice), will once again be filled with approximately 800 triathletes on Friday, May 9th, Saturday, May 10th, and Sunday, May 11th, 2025, including both Junior and amateur triathletes. The former will compete in the fifth edition of the Europe Triathlon Junior Cup, while the amateur triathletes will meet over the weekend for the Venice Caorle Tri, featuring Olympic No Draft and Sprint distances.

On Friday, May 9th, approximately two hundred national triathletes in the Junior category will demonstrate their training for the qualifications, while on Saturday, May 10th, they will move on to the individual finals of the Caorle stage, and on Sunday, May 11th, four members from each team will compete in the relays. Both the qualifications and finals feature the Super Sprint distance, divided into a 300m swim, a 9.5km bike ride, and a 1.9km run, while the relay maintains the same distance for the swim, a 6.2km bike ride, and a 1.5km walk.

The Juniors (aged 16 to 19) come from 21 different countries, including Italy, across Europe and beyond (Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Ireland, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, and Hungary). Furthermore, the Europe Triathlon Cup Caorle 2025 has once again confirmed its position as the most popular European Cup event among those held on the continent.

The amateur categories will also have their work cut out for them, since, in addition to the Sprint race on Sunday the 11th, in which participants will compete in a 750m swim, a 20km bike ride, and a 5km walk, they will also be treated to a surprising new feature this year. On Saturday, May 10th, they will put their physical endurance and technical ability to the test even further by competing in the Venice Caorle Tri Olimpico No Draft, which will further increase the difficulty of the competition, as drafting is prohibited during the bike leg. The exertion of the event didn’t dampen the athletes’ desire to compete, as registration for this first edition sold out two weeks before the deadline.

The city of Caorle is preparing to host, once again, the future stars of European triathlon, in a weekend dedicated to supporting the new generations and their passion for triathlon, without neglecting the opportunity and desire to get involved, also aimed at amateur categories.

The event is organized by Silca Ultralite Vittorio Veneto, with the support and collaboration of Europe Triathlon, the Italian Triathlon Federation, and the patronage of the Municipalities of Caorle and Eraclea.

The event is supported by the Local Police of Caorle and Eraclea, the Caorle Coast Guard, the Guardia di Finanza section, and the National Police of Caorle.
